Announcing another AkshayaPatra Women’s Club event that involves making use of ancient practices of de-stressing in these modern times using Yoga and Sound Healing! Join us for a 1.5 hour of online class on June 7th at 3:30PM EST that will bring deep awareness within to give us bliss.
We are all aware of the strength of the powerful ancient techniques of Yoga Asanas and how it helps to maintain body posture and emotional composure: Yoga asanas practice helps with mental clarity and calmness, increases body awareness, relieves chronic stress patterns, relaxes the mind, decreases stress and anxiety. It also helps with maintaining posture, increases bone strength, increases flexibility, decreases blood pressure and increases blood flow to all vital organs.
Less is known about Sound Healing. However, it is well regarded as an ancient practice that has originated from cultures like the Aboriginal peoples in Australia and Tibetan monks who have been practicing it for centuries. Sound vibrations (whether vocal or instruments like gongs, tuning forks or singing bowls) are known to synchronize brain waves to achieve deeper states of relaxation. In fact, sound makes it easier to enter into deep states of calm to further relieve certain ailments, including anger, anxiety and insomnia and thus has great benefits in general well-being.
